Quality & Affordable Care for Children Ages 3-5

The Spring Point Children’s Center on SMCC’s South Portland Campus provides quality and affordable childcare to 3- to 5-year-old children of SMCC students, faculty, staff and the general public. The Center works in conjunction with the Early Childhood Education program and serves as a lab setting for college students. The Center utilizes a play-based, emergent curriculum model with a focus on outdoor and nature-based experiences. Here, you’ll find a caring, exciting and hands-on environment for your loved ones to learn and grow.

Enrollment & Pricing

Spring Point Children’s Center maintains an average adult to child ratio of 1 to 7. Full- and part-time enrollment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the Center is at capacity, a wait list is available for those who are interested.

Licensing

Spring Point Children’s Center is licensed by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and maintains a “5 Star Rating,” the highest level on Maine’s DHHS “Rising Stars” Quality Rating and Improvement System.
