SMCC community honors life of instructor Kevin Fahrman, greater Portland’s Valentine’s Day Bandit

The SMCC community is saddened to hear about the passing of Communications & New Media Studies instructor, Kevin Fahrman. Kevin touched the lives of so many southern Mainers by secretly playing Valentine’s Day Bandit, putting up hearts across our area to remind us that love is a vital part of our lives.

Here at SMCC, Kevin inspired many students along the way. Fellow SMCC Professor Corey Norman said, “Those of you that had Kevin as a professor in The Art of Audio, Cinema 4D or Photoshop, you know what an amazing soul he was. The building will feel empty without him there.”

Kevin’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 25, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Portland Yacht Club in Falmouth. The club will not be able to accommodate the anticipated gathering, so there will be a live stream of the event provided by Kevin’s family at this link.

Our sincere condolences to all of Kevin’s family, friends and colleagues.
