Short-Term Training

No cost to trainees. Earn while you learn.

This exciting collaboration between MaineHealth/NorDx & SMCC allows you to become a phlebotomist in just 6 weeks while you get paid full-time! This course is designed to provide students with clinical knowledge and competency to become a highly skilled phlebotomist. Clinical assignments will be Monday-Friday at varying times. Assignments will be at a MaineHealth hospital site and Patient Service Center for full 8 hour shifts.

What opportunities does this program provide?

Put Your Skills to Work

Students who successfully complete the course will be hired in a Phlebotomy position at one of NorDx’s various sites. Full-time and part-time positions are available, and candidates must sign an agreement that they will work for NorDx for a minimum of 18 months after course completion.

Prerequisites

To qualify for this training you must meet the following prerequisites:

  • At least 18 years old
  • High School diploma, GED or HiSet
  • Resident of Maine
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
