Student Spotlight
Jenny Cobb, future in criminal justice
Jenny Cobb has known since elementary school that she wanted to get into law enforcement. As a Criminal Justice student, she’s taking the necessary steps to make sure her dreams come true.
Besides her classroom work, Jenny works as a work-study student in SMCC’s security department and is also involved in the newly formed Criminal Justice Club.
Jenny graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School last May. Because she earned college credits while in high school, she’s on track to graduate next fall.
She’s planning to transfer to Husson University after graduation and earn a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. After that, she’s thinking she might want to work in crisis intervention within law enforcement.
“I’ve known since fourth grade that I wanted to get into law enforcement. That’s when a private investigator talked to our class about his job and criminal justice.”
