Hosted by the SMCC Diversity Programming Committee and the Rainbow League and sponsored by the Student Senate, SMCC celebrates Pride Month. Pride Month is celebrated every June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City, a pivotal event in the LGBTQIA+ rights movement. This month recognizes the impact LGBTQIA+ individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally.
