There’s no better way to reach your academic goals, while saving time and money, than by meeting with an SMCC advisor during Advising Month.
SMCC faculty and staff are boosting efforts to encourage students to meet with an advisor during Advising Month, which kicks off Nov. 1 and runs all month.
Students are encouraged to meet with their faculty advisor or a staff advisor to review their degree audit, figure out which courses they need to take, create a schedule and register for classes for the Spring Semester.
Registration begins:
• Monday, November 15, for current students with 30 or more credits, and veterans
• Wednesday, November 17, for current students with fewer than 30 credits
You can connect with a staff advisor in many different ways.
• Drop by the Advising Office in the South Portland Campus Center, or in the L.L. Bean Learning Commons on the Midcoast Campus, during normal business hours. No appointment necessary.
• Drop-in Zoom advising sessions. For a list of drop-in Zoom advising sessions in November, please visit My Maine Guide.
• By appointment. Schedule an in-person, phone or Zoom appointment. You’ll find the “Meet the Advising Office” link in the left column of MySMCC.
• By phone: 207-741-5835.
• By email: advising@smccme.edu.
