Sport Management
Associate Degree
The Sports management program provides students with a foundation in general sport management practices, leadership concepts, sport values, and facility concepts. In addition to acquiring skills in goal setting, risk management as it pertains to sports, and facility management, students enhance their ability to write, think, work in groups, solve problems, and build confidence and the ability to succeed in the world of sport management.
The Associate in Science degree emphasizes core business requirements along with required sport specific electives. The sequence of courses comprises the typical transfer option that many baccalaureate programs prefer, deferring many upper-level course until the third or fourth year.
Graduation Outcomes
- Make decisions and take actions that enable sport businesses/organizations to earn profits and grow.
- Describe the different value philosophies in sports and their effect on goal setting.
- Demonstrate an ability to understand sport facilities structures.
