Tri for a Cure Weekend – Parking Info & What to Know Before July 20

Southern Maine Community College is proud to once again serve as the home site for the Tri for a Cure, taking place on Sunday, July 20. This powerful annual event brings thousands of athletes, volunteers, and spectators to our South Portland Campus and involves campus-wide logistics and parking adjustments throughout the weekend. Please plan for the following parking lot closures:
Friday, July 18
Lots: BB, CC, DD, and B
Saturday, July 19
Lots: B, M, BB, CC, EE, FF, GG, and II
Sunday, July 20 (Race Day)
Lots: B, M, J, K, BB, CC, DD, EE, FF, GG, II, and all lots extending out toward the lighthouse will be closed to all traffic.
Also, please keep in mind that mobile food and grocery delivery services, such as UberEats, DoorDash, and Instacart, may be unable to access campus on Sunday, July 20, because of road closures and event security. We strongly suggest that you plan and avoid delivery orders that day if you will be on campus.
We’re also excited to be cheering on several members of the SMCC community participating in this year’s Tri for a Cure! You can read about their stories and why they’re racing at: SMCC Celebrates Students & Staff Taking Part in 2025 Tri for a Cure.
