We encourage all of our prospective students to apply for financial aid, which can help cover educational expenses from tuition and fees and books to room and board, supplies and transportation. SMCC students:

  • Were awarded $21,026,408 in financial aid in 2019-2020
  • Were eligible for up to $6,195 in free Pell grants in 2019-2020
  • Borrowed an average of $4,525 in federal student loans in 2019-2020

Financial Aid Eligibility

To receive most federal and state grants, loans and work-study funds, you’ll need to meet the basic eligibility criteria established by the U.S. Department of Education.

Apply for Financial Aid

To apply for federal and state grants, loans and work-study at SMCC, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible on or after October 1 for the following academic year.
