SMCC has rescheduled its annual Fall Open House for Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m.-noon at the College’s South Portland Campus.
The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26. With severe weather forecast for the original date, SMCC postponed the event with the safety of prospective students, families, employees and the College community as its top priority.
SMCC is contacting those who previously registered directly with information about the rescheduled event. Registration remains open for prospective students and families who would like to attend Oct. 17.
Fall Open House gives visitors an opportunity to explore SMCC’s more than 40 degree and certificate programs, meet faculty and staff, and learn about the College’s admissions process. Guests can also take guided tours of SMCC’s waterfront campus, including classrooms, laboratories, residence halls and student spaces.
Representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid and student support services will be available to answer questions and help visitors understand their next steps. Attendees can also learn about SMCC’s affordable tuition, Maine’s Free College Scholarship, campus life, athletics and pathways into Maine’s workforce.
Formal Open House programming will conclude at noon. Guests are invited to remain on campus for the Fall Festival, which will begin immediately afterward as part of SMCC’s rescheduled Friends, Family & Homecoming activities.
