October is ‘Get to know TRIO’ Month

Throughout October, the TRIO Student Support Services team is celebrating “Get to Know TRIO” Month with pop-up tables across campus. Stop by to spin our TRIO Trivia Wheel, win prizes, and learn how TRIO might be just what you need this semester.

TRIO provides personalized advising and coaching for eligible students to help them stay on track toward graduation, transfer, and career goals. Participants are paired with a Success Coach who offers individualized support in areas like course planning, career exploration, transfer preparation, and study skills. TRIO also provides workshops, financial literacy support, peer mentoring, and community-building events.

This fall, TRIO is hosting events, including:

  • TRIO Pop Up Tables 

    • October 13 | South Portland Campus Center | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

    • October 15 | South Portland Learning Commons | 12 – 2 p.m.

    • October 21 | Oceanview Dining Hall | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

  • Get to Know Your Strengths! – Oct. 14–17 | TRIO space

  • Pack Perspective Podcast: Shining a Spotlight on TRIO – Oct. 17 | Podcast Link

  • Weekly TRIO Art Nights – Wednesdays | TRIO space

  • Drop-In Registration Help for Spring – Oct. 27 through 31 | TRIO space

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, TRIO serves 240 students each year — creating a supportive community for first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities.
