Hundreds of visitors will attend Southern Maine Community College’s annual spring Open House to learn about academic programs, meet faculty and staff, and tour the college’s beautiful ocean-side South Portland Campus.
The April 6 event provides prospective students and those who have already been accepted an opportunity to learn more about the college and its offerings. More than 350 prospective and accepted students and hundreds of parents are expected.
Interested persons can pre-register and reserve a space online at www.smccME.edu/openhouse. The Open House runs from 9 a.m.-noon.
Students will learn about academic programs of interest, housing, student life and more. Accepted students will have the chance to register for orientation, while prospective students can apply for free on-site. All visitors can take tours of the campus and residence halls, visit academic departments, and meet with admissions and financial aid staff.
SMCC has more than 40 degree and certificate programs, as well as a wide variety of affordable noncredit classes and workforce training opportunities.
