This talk will address the impact of several emerging contaminants (such as bisphenols, triphenyl phosphate, and PFAS) on embryonic development in the zebrafish model. Emerging contaminants are increasingly being detected at low levels in surface water, and there is concern that these compounds may have an impact on human and aquatic life. For each contaminant, behavioral, phenotypic, and gene expression patterns resultant from these early embryonic exposures will be discussed.

This seminar is supported by EPSCoR Maine-SMART with funding from the National Science Foundation; award number 2412130.
