We have reached the halfway point of the semester, and with that comes the submission of official midterm grades.
When can I see my mid-term grades?
Your grades should be viewable by Friday, November 6. It is a perfect opportunity to make sure you know what you are earning in each of your classes.
Where can I find my mid-term grades?
You can find your midterm grade report by logging into your Student Portal:
- My Maine Guide
- My Degree
- Quicklinks (at the top)
- View your grades
- Midterm-Final Grade Report
- Enter this year and term (2020-2021, Fall)
Questions about a grade?
If you have questions about a particular grade, communicating with your professor is strongly encouraged. You can find your professor’s contact information in your class syllabus or by using the SMCC Directory.
What can I do if I am not passing a class at mid-terms?
Remember, if you are not passing a course there is always the option to withdraw. The class would get recorded with a “W” on your transcript, and it would not impact your grade point average (GPA).
You may want to speak with Financial Aid first if you are going from full-time (12+ credits) to part-time (under 12 credits) to see how this choice would look for you financially.
If you have questions about how a withdrawal may impact you, please email or call our office: advising@smccme.edu or 207-741-5835.
The last day you can withdraw from a full-semester course is: Monday, November 23 at 5:00 p.m.
If you decide you want to withdraw from a class you would email our Registration Office (registration@smccme.edu) from your SMCC account. Let them know what class(es) you would like to withdraw from.
