The Business & Community Partnerships Division of Southern Maine Community College is dedicated to serving the economic development needs of Southern Maine by building strong business partnerships and resources for the community.  Whether you are looking for customized training solutions for your employees, continuing studies classes to further your own professional development or need a seaside venue for your next conference or special event, we have the resources to help you!

Let our Training Coordinators work closely with your company to develop customized training programs to meet your developmental goals.  Courses vary from 3-hour workshops, to full semester, college credit courses.  

Looking to re-train for a new economy? SMCC's Business & Community Partnership Division can chart the course.  Courses are offered throughout the year in such areas as healthcare, technical and trades and professional development.  Plus, we offer fun courses for the community in such areas as boating skills and culinary arts.  New courses are added every year! 

Regional businesses and non-profits may rent our facilities at discounted rates while partnering with SMCC's professional meeting facilitators who will help deliver effective meetings. Join us on our beautiful 80-acre campus for your next corporate training meeting, social reception, cliffside wedding ceremony, extended business retreat or overnight stay. Our dynamic and ever-growing campus provides the ideal backdrop for your next event and we want to share this breathtaking setting with you.  Our relaxing atmosphere, coupled with friendly and detail-oriented service provided by students-in-training, makes campus locations such as the Peter A. McKernan Hospitality Center an ideal choice for your staff retreat, corporate training session, or special event.

Enjoy spectacular views of Casco Bay and its famous lighthouses from your private hotel room at the Peter A. McKernan Center. Rates for overnight stays are truly unbelievable and all revenue goes directly to programs supporting the College's mission.

Food & beverage ranging from continental breakfast to deluxe dinner buffets are available to create an all-in-one meeting and training facility. With hospitality services catered by our Lodging & Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts students, we offer one-of-a-kind opportunity to host your business or social event while supporting the education of our future community leaders.
