The Academic Achievement Center at Southern Maine Community College provides professional tutoring by faculty and teaching assistants with a personal approach to academic success through individual tutoring and other resources.
Fall 2009 Hours
Monday - Wednesday 8:00am - 8:00pm
Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday 8:00am - 4:30 pm
Tutorial Services
- One-on-one and group tutoring sessions by faculty and staff in math, chemistry, physics, writing, English, computer applications, AutoCAD, etc. (appointments are necessary for English and writing assignments)
- Peer tutoring by seniors in technology areas
Study strategies consulting
Computer Resources
- 14 computer stations
- MS Office XP, Visual Basic, AutoCAD, Diet Analysis, Business Plan Pro, Adobe In-Design
- Internet access for academic research
