Associate Degree: Psychology Focus
Are you intrigued by human behavior? Have you ever wondered how our personalities develop, how we are motivated to learn, or how abnormal behavior is diagnosed and treated? If so, you may want to consider a career in psychology. The Associate in Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in Psychology is designed to provide a foundation of study that prepares students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The curriculum is built on a foundation of core requirements, supplemented with psychology courses.
This concentration is excellent preparation for a major in psychology at the baccalaureate level. You will gain the basic knowledge and principles of human behavior that are essential for a variety of career paths, including social services, business, education or law.
Please note: You are only eligible to receive one Associate in Arts in Liberal Studies degree. You may not receive a second or subsequent degree in Liberal Studies with a different focus.
