Advising & Testing Services

Testing

The Midcoast Campus has its own testing center, located in the L.L.Bean Learning Commons. The testing center is where you can take any required testing for acceptance to the College and to determine which courses you’ll be placed into. To schedule your testing, visit the front desk in the Learning Commons. To learn more, visit the Placement Testing webpage on our main website.

Advising

At the Midcoast Campus, there are both faculty and staff advisors available to students. Our advisors will help you stay on track to achieve your goals and give you advice from choosing the right courses and major to planning your future upon graduation. Upon becoming a student at SMCC, a faculty advisor will be assigned to you and you may access Advising Services by visiting the front desk in the Learning Commons. To learn more, visit the Advising webpage on our main website.

Counseling & Disability Services

Both Counseling and Disability services are available on-site at the Midcoast Campus. We are here to help with your needs and ensure you stay on the path to success. Students can schedule an appointment by visiting the front desk at the L.L.Bean Learning Commons.

Career & Transfer

SMCC provides the opportunity for students to enter a high-wage career upon graduation or to transfer using one of our numerous transfer agreements. Whichever path you choose, it’s important you start planning from the get-go. We encourage our students to explore both Career and Transfer services as soon as possible once enrolling at the College. To access Career and Transfer services at the Midcoast Campus, visit the front desk in the L.L.Bean Learning Commons.
