The Student Life staff plans various recreational activities for the residence hall students to enjoy, including social activities like dances, on-campus sporting events, board game socials, pool tournaments, movie nights and an occasional trip to off campus sporting events like a Portland Pirates’ or Seadogs’ game or an amusement park. Activities also include educational programs to inform students about academic resources available on campus, raise awareness regarding alcohol and drug use and abuse and a wide range of other areas of concern for college students.
The Housing and Residence Life staff often partners with other campus departments to provide additional opportunities for students. Programs are designed each year based on interest inventories completed by current students and so can vary widely depending on the interests and the level of involvement of each group.
