The SMCC Chorus is made up of students, faculty and staff of the college as well as a few members of the community. The Chorus is directed by Mrs. Florence Chambers who is a member of the Math Department at SMCC. Chorus is offered for one (1) credit per semester for a possible total of three (3) credits. You may participate in chorus without taking it as a course for credit.
Practices are held on Wednesday from noon to 1:30 in the Jewett Hall auditorium. The Chorus offers two concerts near the end of each semester and adds other events as well. A Saint Patrick's sing-a-long concert of popular Irish songs has become an annual event. Graduation is a major focus for the Chorus in the spring. Our concerts are usually held in the Quiet Lounge of the Campus Center at noon on Wednesdays. Announcements of Chorus events are carried in The Beacon student newspaper and through flyers on campus bulletin boards.
