The primary goal of Southern Maine Community College's Campus Safety and Security department is the personal safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors as well as the protection of College property. Security personnel patrol the campus for unusual occurrences and serve as visible deterrents. They control and regulate parking, open buildings for staff and students, and provide security escort for students, faculty and staff within the campus.

Hours

The department office hours are: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, but Security is available 24-7. Call 207.741.5553.

Services

The department provides assistance to the campus community through regular patrols and other services; such as parking permits and student ID cards, nighttime escorts, and even Emergency Response Services to those in need. Emergency messages for students are routed and delivered through this department. The department can also provide specialized services based on individual needs.
