The username is your
firstname+middleinitial+lastname (all one word) up to 20 characters;
password is 1stinitialoffirstname+1st4lettersoflastname
+last4digitsofSSN (all one word); and domain is "students".

How do I log into MySMCC?
STUDENTS
- UserName = Your First Name + Middle Initial + Last Name, no
spaces, all lower case. If you did not provide the school with your
middle initial then try leaving out the middle initial.
- Password
= The First Initial of your First Name + First four letters of your
Last Name + Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number(SSN), no
spaces, all lower case. If you did not provide the school with your
SSN, you need to use the last 4 digits of your Student ID#.
Examples:
Michael X Hu, social security number 123-45-6789
User name = michaelxhu
Password = mhu6789
Ali M Abdi, social security number 987-65-4321
User name = alimabdi
Password = aabdi4321
This username/password is good for signing onto the Student Domain (on
campus, Student Email, MySMCC, and WebCT (if you are enrolled in an
online class).
FACULTY/STAFF
- UserName = The First Initial of your First Name + your Last Name, no spaces, all lower case.
- Password = Same password you use to sign on to the Staff domain.

To login to your email, use the following username and password:
- UserName = Your First Name + your Last Name name. (for
example, if your name is "John A. Smith," your user name would be john
smith)
- Password = Same password you use to sign on to the Staff domain.

How do I log into Blackboard?
Go to the Distance Learning Center in the Academics section of the website and Login to Blackboard. Use username
and password that you use to log into the campus student computers.

Where can I go to use a computer on
campus?
Most buildings have a student
computer lab specific for the program located in that building.
There are approx. 365 student computers but there are 3 open student
labs located in the Library, Learning Assistance Center (LAC), and
Rm. 103, Technology Bldg. To view a list click here.

How do I synchronize my Lotus Notes
address book with my online address book?
Lotus Notes has a local copy of
your personal Names and Addresses for contacts. You can synchronize
these names and addresses with your iNotes client (which is what you
use when you check your email via the web).
To accomplish this, simply click
ACTIONS (on the menu bar) and SYNCHRONIZE ADDRESS BOOK. Your Inotes
client will now have the same contacts that you have in your local
Names and address book.

How do I clean my Lotus Notes mailbox?
In your INBOX" folder, sort
your mail by size (look on the upper right side of the 'sent' folder
screen and click the SIZE column). Doing this will sort your emails
by size and you can get the biggest bang for your buck in deleting
those emails that you no longer need. You can also just right-click
the attachment and Save and Delete All which gives you the
opportunity to save the attachment and then remove it from the email.
You can do the same in the SENT folder as well. Never delete email
from the Views/All Documents folder however, since this is a special
Notes folder. Once done deleting emails, simply go into the Trash
folder and click the EMPTY TRASH button on the upper right side of
the Trash folder. This simply clears out and deletes your emails;
this will not recover space for you on the server. To do this you
need to then do the following: While in the mailbox, click
File/Database/Properties. You will come to the Database Properties
dialog box. Click the INFO tab, which is the solid “i“ tab
(second tab on the dialog box) and then click the COMPACT button. The
Compact button may be grayed out for you. If it is, you can give us a
call and we can help. This compacting feature runs nightly on the
server but you have to give it something to compact (like cleaning
out your trash).
