4th International Food Festival - April 26

Southern Maine Community College and the Rotary Clubs of South Portland-Cape Elizabeth and Breakwater Daybreak are hosting the
4th International Food Festival on Saturday April 26, 2008 from noon to 2 pm (silent auction starts at 11 am)
in the SMCC Dining Hall, 2 Fort Road, South Portland, to help promote awareness and improve understanding of different cultures and raise funds for international and multicultural student scholarships.

Selected restaurants, SMCC Culinary Arts faculty and staff, and international students will prepare and serve sample portions of hot and cold appetizers and desserts. The first three International Food Festivals raised $24,700 for international and multicultural student scholarships.
"Our community benefits when students from other countries learn about the United States and teach us about the challenges facing their countries," said Rotary member Jim Price.

A Silent Auction will be held in conjunction with the 4th International Food Festival to raise additional funds for International and Multi-Cultural Student Scholarships. Individuals and businesses can donate items for the Silent Auction by contacting Sharon Bernier.
