Library Mission
The mission of the Southern Maine Community College Library is twofold:
- To provide equal access to a wide range of informational resources and services to our diverse and changing community; and
- To promote information literacy by providing instruction that is consistent with the college’s learning outcomes and supportive of student needs.
Library Hours
Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 9:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Saturday 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm - only when classes are in session
Sunday 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Summer Hours
Monday - Thursday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
Hours are subject to change during inter-sessions and semester breaks and will be posted.
Library Orientations & Workshops
Library Workshops are a fun and easy way for students to become familiar with web-based library resources.
Everyone is welcome to attend these open sessions. Our schedule is posted on the SMCC Calendar of Events.
