Your Browser and Blackboard

Blackboard requires that you use a compatible browser and that you have your browser settings configured a particular way.

For login authentication, Blackboard uses cookies, so you'll need to enable cookies.

Blackboard uses pop-up windows to provide much of the functionality of Mail, Chat, Discussions, and Quizzes. You'll need to allow pop-up windows from the domain 'smccme.edu.'

Many add-on toolbars, such as those promoted by Yahoo! and Google can interfere with the functionality of Blackboard. You may need to uninstall those toolbars on the browser that you access Blackboard.

Spyware is a growing problem, and spyware installed on your computer can affect Blackboard accessiblity and performance.
