It's Fast, Easy, Reliable, Secure....

If you are currently accepted to a program at SMCC, you have the option to register for all of your courses online through the SMCC website.


STEP #1 - Check in with your advisor.

While not required for registration, this is the best way to insure that you are taking the right courses in the right order.

Who is my Advisor?

If you do not know who your advisor is, you can look it up by logging onto MySMCC and selecting the "Students tab".

How do I contact my Advisor?
You can look up your advisor's contact information (telephone number & email address) by accessing the online Staff and Faculty Directory.

If your advisor is unavailable or if you want to gather information in preparation for an advising appointment, you can check your program requirements online by doing the following:

  • Visiting your program/department page program curriculum (Liberal Studies or Career & Technical Programs). This will show you the typical sequence of courses for your program.
  • Logging into MySMCC and selecting the "Student" tab and then the "Degree Audit Portlet". This will show you the courses that you are required to take to complete your degree.

When in doubt, always consult with your advisor.


STEP #2 - Select the specific courses that you want to take.

Look up the titles, course numbers, and section numbers of the courses you want to take. You can do this once you have started the web registration process, but you will save time if you do this in advance.

STEP #3 - Start the web registration process.

When you are ready...

  1. Click on the "Start Online Registration" link below.
  2. Log in:
    • Your User Name = your "full first name", + "middle initial", + "full last name" all lower case, no spaces. (e.g., reggieastration)
    • Your default password is the "first initial of your first name" + the "first four characters of your last name + the last four digits of your social security number" all lower case, no spaces.  (e.g., rstra0066)
  3. Once logged into MySMCC, from the "Home" tab choose the "College Course Schedule - Course Search" to look for the courses you wish to take.
  4. Check the box(es) in front of the course sectuibs you want to add, then click the "Add Courses" button to complete your registration. 
  5. You may also add or drop courses from your existing schedule by choosing the Add/Drop icon on the Home tab.
