| Mind Over Metal Camp July 6-10 |

Through fun, high-energy experiential learning, the Mind Over Metal summer camp, July 6-10, 2009, teaches youth ages 14-16 that manufacturing is an exciting and viable career. Participants acquire machining and welding skills by creating projects using state-of-the-art equipment. According to the Report of the Governor's Community College Advisory Council, Maine has a shortage of skilled workers in virtually every major industry. This summer camp experience is a stepping stone to an education leading to a manufacturing career, and participants will discover that they can succeed when given the tools and training to do so.
